Who We Are
Alonso and Ieva are the founders of AI Movement and two of Sydney’s most recognised Latin Dance Instructors. With over 18 years of combined teaching experience, they’ve built a reputation for classes that genuinely fun, deeply technical and impossible to leave without learning something real.
Together they’ve taken AI Movement beyond Sydney and Australia, teaching workshops and competing internationally, and bringing home multiple titles as professionals in Salsa and Bachata.

ALONSO
FOUNDER
Alonso has been teaching Latin dance in Australia for over 10 years, with a lifelong connection to the music and culture. His deep cultural knowledge and love for the music drive everything he does with a student first approach that meets every dancer where they are and moves them forward. -

IEVA
FOUNDER
Ieva brings over eight years of Latin dance teaching experience with a background rooted in competitive ballroom from a young age. Her performance background and sharp attention to detail shape every class she teaches expect precision, structure, and a training environment that brings out the best in every student. -

DIANA
TEACHER
Diana's energy is contagious - on the social floor and in every class she teaches. A competitor at national level, she holds 1st place titles in Bachata Amateur and Rising Star Jack and Jill, Salsa Freestyle, and Pro Am Duet at both the Australia Bachata Championship and World Salsa Solo. Her love for Bachata and care for her students make her a natural part of the AI Movement team. -

JUDIT
TEACHER
Judit grew up with dance in her DNA. She has competed in multiple Jack and Jill divisions, been a key part of Ieva's choreography teams, and brings experience teaching and assisting in both Bachata and Salsa. Her sharp attention to detail and warm personality make her a great dynamic addition to the AI Movement team.

We believe real dancing starts with understanding, not just repeating. Every class at AI Movement is built around foundations - because without them, the moves don’t mean much. We go deep rather than wide, focusing on one concept at a time so you actually own it before moving on. It’s not the fastest way to learn. It’s the right way.

Foundations first — technique isn’t a phase you graduate from. It’s the thing that makes everything else possible.
Depth over quantity - we’d rather you truly understand one thing than vaguely know ten.
